CARROTS ARE GOOD FOR YOUR EYES-WHAT????
So, our favorite little man Collin is in love with carrots and cucumbers. He loves to peel them and eat them, and would only eat that if we let him. So the old saying has something to do with carrots helping your eyes-RIGHT? Well, we here at the Warnick household beg to differ. Our carrot eating man now has glasses. When we took Collin to the hospital for his arthritis the doctor explained to us that we needed to make an appointment for Collin's eyes because arthritis can affect your vision. So, we did just that and went to see a pediatric optometrist. He did a lot of test to look for swelling, inflammation and other signs of eye problems. At the end he said Collin passed and that he wanted to do one final test just to make sure his vision was okay. He assured me that it would be fine and that there was no need to worry. Not even two seconds later he took back what he said and assured me that Collin is very far sighted and needed glasses. So, we went and bought a cheepy pair of glasses at Wal-Mart for him to get used to. This is a picture of those glasses. Now that he is comfortable and confident in his glasses we got him a knew pair and they are stinkin cute. Poor Collin, if it's not one thing it's another. He is so good at dealing with all of his little issues. He is great with the glasses and really his only problem is keeping them clean. Now, as parent we need to be more strict at making him wear them ALWAYS. I still don't know how would have ever known this until school started. Think how many of us never know our children's eyes are bad until they start elementary.

He looks very stylish. Chris had glasses at about 2 months until they uncrossed his eyes at age 2. I think Collin will be much better about taking care of them. See you in a few weeks.
