Fourth of July 2012. We were lucky because we got to celebrate the 4th with both sets of grandparents. It was actually a pretty quiet week. We did a lot of hanging out, eating out and making treats. We went to the traditional, small town, Laurel parade where the people watching is way better than the parade watching. Collin learned quickly that diving for candy is a sport and that you can get hurt in the process. Emma was content like always.
Uncle Ethan came to spend the holiday with us too. The kids love their Uncle Ethan. He spends so much one on one time with them.
We took a trip to the Yellowstone where we went fishing and picnicked for the afternoon. Grandpa was able to wear his new duds and use his new flies. Luckily he caught one so obviously the flies worked. Abigail is a great fisherwoman too because she caught two. It's always fun leaving everyday life and heading to the mountains. It's easy to forget the daily stresses and just relax.
On our way home we stopped at a super quaint restaurant tucked in the mountains outside of the mine. It was a fun way to end the day.
Seriously, how cute is Emma?
